Irene Long & Associates is starting a FREE pre-pre-k program called “Matthew and Minnie,” for children 2 to 4 years of age.

Classes will meet from 10:00 to 12:00 on Monday's and Wednesday's beginning on September 8 th .

The class ratio will be 6:1:5, six children, one teacher, five parents or guardians. Classes will be structured and enriched with learning activities, arts and crafts, music, story telling, and much more.

Parents and volunteers are welcome to play an active roll in our classroom, the more hands to help the better.

Curriculum

Curriculum Guidelines: as of 9/2/08

Language: reading, phonics, alphabet, words

Math: days of the week, numbers, shapes, up/down, big/small

Art: colors, textures, painting, gluing, tearing

Music – sing-a-long, rhythmic exercise, instruments

Movement – pretend to be a frog etc., parachute games

Body Awareness

Who am I? All about me…

First Lesson : Please start collecting family pic's grandma, brother, sister, etc.

Nutrition – vegetables, fruits etc.

Science – bugs, animals, weather

Social Skills – sharing, taking turns, play board games
